It enhances the capability of road condition perception, and improves the drive-safety. Firstly the research background, development of intelligent vehicle and road condition perception technology are introduced. Then the structure of PWS is proposed. It consists of three levels: road condition perception level, decision-making level and execution level. The three subsystems of PWS, central control module, forward collision warning (FCW) system and adaptive front-lighting System(AFS), are researched respectively.
