5.23 Hydraulic System 5.23.1 Equipment shall be designed in accordance with the pertinent provisions for the codes and standards in these Specifications. In addition to the standards listed in Section 1, hydraulics systems shall meet the requirements and recommendations of the Instrument Society of America (ISA). 5.23.2 All components shall be Vickers or Rexroth. 5.23.3 The hydraulic system design shall be in accordance with applicable requirements of ANSI Standard B31.3, Chemical and Refinery Piping, and JIC hydraulic standards for hydraulic equipment for a working pressure of 20.7 MPa (3000 psi) gage, but system working pressures shall not exceed the following: ƒ Snag Protection System During Snag Trip : 20.7 MPa gage (3000 psig) ƒ All other systems : 13.8 MPa gage (2000 psig) 5.23.4 Hydraulic systems shall be designed for use with petroleum base hydraulic fluids. Fluid reservoirs shall be sized for a minimum volume of three times the maximum flow rate of oil

6.4 Marking and Identification 6.4.1 Wires shall be properly identified on both ends with wire numbers that are coordinated with the schematic documentation using a self-laminating, moisture, heat and oil resistant type label. All wire labels shall be computer generated and printed on a letter quality printer; after the wire label is installed, both the wire label and terminal sleeve shall be further protected with a clear shrink tube.
